      Hi,
Thinking about it, i am from quite a sciencey family – my mum trained as a chemical engineer, my dad is a farmer (so lots of animal sciences there!) and my sister is a clinical trials manager and used to work in the NHS. But I have always enjoyed science and did sciences for my A levels. I did a biological sciences based degree and my job is science based……so yep pretty much all science!!!!

No, I knew nothing about a career in science when I was at school. I just really loved the subject so kept on studying it as long as I could….that’s what I am still doing!

I studied Applied Biology at University which included human biology, environmental sciences relating to plants and animal sciences.

My family background is mainly medical and legal. My sister is also a scientist working in the NHS.

      Hi there

I don’t have any scientists in my family, if that’s what you mean. My mum and dad were ski teachers!

I studied biology, chemistry and physics at GCSE. And biology and chemistry at A level. And decided I liked it.

I do. My A levels were Physics, Chemistry,Biology and General Studies. My first degree is Life Sciences with honours Microbiology. I did modules on psychology, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology(the study of how drugs work on the body) and genetics as well as the Mircrobiology which I specialised in in my final year. Nursing is also scientific obviously as it deals with teh understanding preventions and treatment of disease.
