I have always had science jobs since my degree. But when I was doing my a levels I worked in a supermarket, I also had this weird job where I had to go through the halls of residents at university and look for toxic substances in the building: some rooms were really smelly!

No, my first ever job was selling burgers at Notts Country football club. My next job was at TopShop. But after that, yep all my jobs have been science based – lab technician, PhD and research fellow

Yes I’ve been either a scientist or a nurse which is sciency too. I did do a holiday job in a library sticking the labels into the fronts of books but that was soooooooooooooooooo boring

I was a milkboy when i was younger, and worked as a telly salesperson in Currys for a year between school and university, and was the bar-manager in my university residence building… but ever since going to university ive been on the science career track. Initially i was going to be a ‘regular’ doctor, but i sidestepped to lab science.
