      Hi!
I have always enjoyed science and found Biology especially very interesting at school. I always wanted to be a farmer and so i went to study agriculture at university. However after the first year i decided that as plants didn’t really do much in my opinion, i wanted to just study animal science, so i swapped courses (which is easier to do than you think – so never think you can’t change paths if you want to!) As part of my degree i had to do a research project…..I absolutely loved doing this and it cemented in my head that research was the career for me. So after my degree I applied to do a PhD (a research type qualification where you study an area in great depth for 3-4 years) and then carried on in research after that – the rest is history!!
