      I really am not that knowledgable about this area. I admit i actually don’t know exactly what happens; i think in some cases its brought about by a tablet – really i don’t know. I also don’t know if it hurts – maybe the other scientists could answer this better

      Hi Lucy,
      If a woman has an abortion in early pregnancy she can take a pill which makes her shed her womb lining and the embryo, or later in pregnancy the fetus can be surgically removed/sucked out. Both can be painful but pain relief is always given for this. Sometimes the drugs can also make her feel a bit sick.

      Not sure what you mean about what would happen but as far as I know you feel sore and achey for a few days after and sad too I guess…

      Very late abortions for abmormality are very hard because the woman has to give birth to the dead baby really sad for everyone 🙁
