      Hi all
Its a very very varied job – no 2 days are the same….no 2 jobs in science are the same. That makes for a very interesting job – you never quite know what the day is going to hold in store for you! Its an exciting job because you are trying to answer questions that have never been answered before which is really cool if you think about it! Its also great fun, every job i have worked in in science i have worked with some great people and made some great friends – becasue the job can be quite demanding sometimes, and when things don’t work it can be quite frustrating, everyone is always keen to relax afterwards and as we have all gone through the same things we can help each other out

I think it’s really good – but then I would say that wouldn’t I? I think being able to do something you’re interested in as your job is great and being a scientist means that you get to try to do the things you like such as solving puzzles and thinking logically about things everyday.
The other thing that ‘s important to me is that science makes a difference to people’s lives. Think of all the medical sciences that treat disease, the research that the other scientists in this and the other zones are doing and in my opinion you can see that science has a much bigger impact on people’s lives than most other things. In general the impact is good – but science can be used to sort out the bad things too like the recent oil leaks in America.

      Hi,
It is challenging and rewarding, and sometimes even exciting! You never get bored as you are always thinking about stuff and trying to work things out. It can be quite exciting when you get something to work for the first time and find out something new. You sort of work for your self and run your own day which is great! You can learn new skills and facts about your subject. You also get to go to meetings and tell people about your work, this can be a little scary but really useful, and it is great because the meetings are normally in a nice country. I have been to loads of cool places, like Autralia, Japan, Canada, Chile!
