• Question: what levels would you need to become a vet

      HI Joseph, there’s lots and lots of competition so you need teh highest grades at everything usually:(. I think you probably need A* but there are some universities that take a broader approach and look at more than just results. I know Liverpool were like that when I was there. Som unis will also change the requirements for people to go into vet after doing another degree first. Worth looking into it early if you’re interested. Good luck

      Hi Joseph
      Biology and Chemistry and good A levels to take. The third one i think is more flexible, maths might be useful or physics i guess – just something you are likely to enjoy and get a good grade in. For veterinary though, as well as good grades, experience is essential – places are very comptetive and the more experience you’ve got working with a range of animals (small and large) the better!

      When I applied for a veterinary degree you needed 4 A’s at A level in maths and sciences, also lots of worl experience was necessary especially with large animals.
