      hi loopy – i would like to invent a technique or a drug to cure all forms of cancer

      My. 10yr old says that it should be a robot that does homework, one that does housework would be good too:)
      Tricky isn’t it? Do you go for something that makes a lot of people’s lives easier like the robots or go for something that cures cancer? On balance I think a grain that was drought resistant so that African droughts were a thing of the past would be pretty good;) sorry its taken so long to reply, I’m really slow at txt, hopefully back on line tomorrow

      A simple treatment that cured all cancer would be good. Or a way to make heart muscle regenerate after a heart attack. Muscles in your legs etc can repair themselves but heart muscle can’t. Unfortunately I don’t actually work in either of those folds anymore. I used to do research on heart muscle and the genes that made it develop. Jo

      I would like to invent a machine that can monitor what food the baby is getting in the womb just by sampling the mothers blood. Hopefully my work on showing how the placenta gets food from the mum to the baby will lead to a machine like this being made one day. If the machine could detect things in the mums blood that indicate the baby is not getting enough food we could feed the mum the right stuff. This would stop the baby being really small and getting ill.
